Jonathan Wise, Purpose Disruptors
Jonathan Wise
Co-founder
Purpose Disruptors

Jonathan has 15 years of experience working in creative agencies as a strategist, with the majority of his time at JWT, part of WPP. In 2010, he started as Masters in Sustainability and Responsibility at Ashridge Business School, where he became vividly aware of his connection to our climate emergency. This led him to quit his job, but he was clear on the power of the advertising industry as the architects of desire. What if that power could be redirected towards helping shape a more sustainable future? To help explore how this might be possible, Jonathan co-founded Purpose Disruptors. He leads on their Advertised Emissions work which quantifies the GHG emissions that result from the uplift in sales generated by advertising, launched at COP26 and since adopted by Dentsu. He also tutors on the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership course dedicated to the marketing, advertising and creative sector. He lives in Essex, 38 meters above sea-level.
